Re: Funding through McVOAD for volunteers and materials for Ice Storm 2009 Event

McVOAD (Marshall County Organizations Active in Disaster) is preparing a budget for Long Term Recovery expenses of organizations providing qualifyied recovery services in Marshall County, Kentucky for the Ice Storm 2009 Event.

Qualified services include:

· Food Banks

· Debris Removal

· Home Repairs (weatherheads, plumbing, etc. damaged by the ice storm)

· Other recovery services to at-risk households

Funding considerations will include:

· Support expenses for volunteers working in Marshall County

· Materials needed for repairs, etc.

McVOAD does not directly fund individuals. We disburse funds only to organizations who are providing Long Term Recovery services to individuals.
